An oft-recycled comic wherein a brother presents his other brother a set of painfully hot keys on a keychain. This has been performed with enough regularity that it has obtained an amusing term to refer to it: the “spicy keychain.” This is related to the concept of the sun being God’s dangling keys in that 1) at its base level, these keys are hot, much like the sun and 2) God, as the brother, is both cruel and arbitrary, meting out unwarranted punishment. A reference to ‘renaissance art’ where the illustration is clearly crude and contemporary is another self-aware attempt at humor. Fuck, I can’t believe I wrote all this myself instead of using an LLM.
