Okamoto's official website, launched in February "...Official?" Samurai Japan Slugger Kazuma Okamoto Suddenly Launches Bizarre Personal Website; Mysterious Design Sparks Comments: "What is This?" "My Stomach Hurts [from laughing] lol" Thursday, Feb 26, 20:30 Kazuma Okamoto (29), currently playing for the Toronto Blue Jays, launched his official website on the 21st. The design, highly unconventional for a professional baseball player, is generating significant buzz. The released site features a colorful, pop-inspired design dominated by large images of Okamoto's face. In the profile section-which lists his date of birth, height, and weight-there is a scrolling marquee in Roman letters that reads: "YAKYUU UMAI" (I'm good at baseball). With the WBC approaching in March and Okamoto set to represent Samurai Japan, attention is peaking regarding his performance in his new environment. The post has drawn a variety of reactions from internet users, ranging from confusion to praise: "What even is this site?" "...Kazuma Okamoto's official [site]?" "This is peak 'Big Baby' right here." "The 'YAKYUU UMAl' scrolling past... my stomach hurts lol."
