seems like a good change, but I've always found it interesting how on windows you have to bend over backwards to prevent updates from happening, and meanwhile on linux you have to type your password and give explicit permission to allow updates to happen

the amount of times i would start dropping frames only to see "please restart to finish updates 😄"

I mean you can also set updates to happen automatically in the background on linux cause it gets tedious otherwise, but that still requires your password to setup and can be turned off at any time. anyway, article:
