I may be gone from Facebook soon, if things don't change for the better. Recently I'm seeing a huge increase in posts designed to whip up criticism and ridicule against trans and non-binary folk, almost every time I look at the app. They're "public" posts (rather than from any of my friends) but going by the comments, the propaganda is working. Is everyone else seeing this, I wonder - or are they targeting me as a member of the same community? Exactly the same kind of thing used to happen in traditional media against gay men. I remember it, the hurt it causes, how it costs lives, and it's definitely not OK. I'm guessing this is related to US political developments, with Mark Zuckerberg apparently cosying up to Donald Trump as he enters office (hot on the heels of Facebook ditching fact checking in the USA). Maybe getting rid of "woke liberal lefties" like me from Facebook is part of their plan. I'd hate to play into it, but honestly, I can't stand seeing many more of these ignorant and hate-filled posts... ๐Ÿ˜ฅ
