@sokeiev on X "As a Japanese who watched all the episodes of the original Voltes V and then talked about the live-action version of the Voltes V Legacy with Filipinos, it pains me that this work is often used as a stick to beat other live-action projects and remakes. So I wrote that the reproduction of the original work is said to be great, but the romantic elements alone have been altered all over the place. The live-action version of VOLTES V shown in the PV for Japanese viewers is an assortment of key parts of the original story made with a large budget. There is no way that 90 episodes of CG of that quality could be made in a row, even though it was made by a commercial broadcaster and not on a national budget. They were able to make 90 episodes because they filled up the length with human dramas."
