always thought it was a bizarre coincidence how the 3 generations of women in gilmore girls was so similar to digimon tamers (perfectionist daughter, rebellious single mom, traditional grandmom) but it just occurred to me that 5/6 of them all have L/R names: Rory/Lorelai/Emily vs Ruki/Rumiko/Seiko

gilmore girls premiered in fall 2000, which would’ve made it one of the flashiest new american tv shows while digimon tamers (premiered spring 2001) was in development 🤔 from what I can tell, didn’t actually get a dub and air in japan until 2007 tho. this is like 99% a silly conspiracy theory
