In the "city as a platform" sense #SF is an incredible platform for physically exploring what's going on in tech. Of course, what's going on in tech can have very apparent biases. e.g. This was happy hour near Yerba Buena with literally 0 women in the building.

Compared to #NYC, the absence of @mtainfo.bsky.social is sorely missed. The logistics of the bay area are terrible. Want to get from #SF to the Valley? Grab a car and spend an hour? Bouncing around Sand Hill Road? Car, then camp at Starbucks in between meetings. Bland and inefficient.
