For purely recessive selection, we show that equilibration takes a bit longer. For a recessive lethal gene with a typical mutation rate, equilibration takes hundreds to a few thousand generations.

Nevertheless, we find that if a population is already at equilibrium and then experiences demographic changes, those changes don't affect the expected frequency too much. For example, the expected allele frequency after 176 generations of exponential growth is close to the initial frequency.
