"I just sorta feel like the Lord gave me a second chance," said Davis, 90, a beloved fixture at the church near Canal Winchester. Last Easter, Davis couldn't walk and could barely move her fingers. What had begun as an outpatient gallbladder surgery in November 2010 had quickly turned into a case of blood poisoning -- sepsis -- that doctors said probably would kill her overnight. Instead, she clawed her way back with the help of doctors and nurses, a huge, supportive family, and the prayers of hundreds whose lives her music had touched. "These three fingers were numb," Davis said, pointing to her right hand as she sat on the piano bench in the music room of her Gahanna home.
