On top of my old brown table, there are white fabric scrap cuttings off to the top right side. In the middle = BEHOLD! Laying on top of the table and the cutting grid, is my Pickle Pie Machine Embroidery project of a Pointsettia Star. The background us a snow white moda subtle blender print and the star itself is various cotton reds. The red pieces form an 8 pointed star (or Pointsettia flower if that's what you see) and the repeating red intersect in the middle. I havent done the binding yet, so the edges are undone (maybe the same white? Or should I do a red?) Stitches in the ditch are farther from the eye than they appear 😅
My dark grey carpet in the background is my current "table" because I sprawl out like an art goblin gobblin' up all the space I can find for unfinished projects. You can see my teal ironmatik mat peekin through ans my black laurastar iron (yes, I finally bought a sale one!) On left mid of pic. The majority of the pic is the middle white part which is my current WiP (work in progress) which is plain white cotton quilting fabric and I'm ironing on my laser cut quilt kit on top. It features various brightly colored Tula Pink cute fabrics cut out in quilting shapes like a seam ripper and a pin cushion. The words "time flies when you're sewing" is in the middle. Ignore my jammy pant leg on the bottom peekin.
Picture of my beautifully clean sewing table (medium wood brown) and bottom right has a bit of my white sewing machine in corner as background. The top left is the top of my current project--> a machine embroidered three part wall hanging on black plain cotton fabric and a stitched motif of a shaded cat sitting on a sink with the words "Wash Your Paws" around it. The cat is mostly blues,purples, and yellows. The sink is white and greys. The words are all white. And the art deco design around the whole thibg is bright yellows. Lil clips of various colors are around the entire edge holding the stary sky dark swirl blues colors binding on til I finish. Buut I get distracted by the Interwebz.

On a dark wooden table peeking out from the top roght corner on a light grey cutting mat with some darl grey squares lay four quilt blocks approx 6 x 6" all with Trapunto style quilting in verigated threads. The top left one is dark forest green, the top right is bright autumn yellow, the bottom right is a vivid red, and the bottom left is a pale orange. They quilting motif on each one is an oak lead falling around some various tiny squiggles. All machine embroidered.
Old piece of orange cotton quilting fabric on top of batting and stabilizer with an oak leaf stitched out in a verigated blue and orangey toned thread using my embroidery machine and the design has a Trapunto effect where the leaf part is puffy compared to the outside squiggles. I like the word "squiggles".
Dark green cotton (freebie) fabric that has 2 layers of medium weight stabilizer underneath(not shown) and depicts a swirl border and radiating star motif in the center that is machine embroidery stitched aka Trapunto technique. The thread is silver/grey Isacord that makes the design.

Wonky picture of a long table runner / art exchange project. It's a long rectangle deep purple quilted marimekko fabric featuring abstract blueberries in kind-of rows. I added a bright hot pink strip between it and the bordrt fabric (also plum colored). The binding is being held on with multicolored clips in the photo. It's laying on top of my wooden sewing table in what little sunshine we get for Wintertime.
Full size look at the art quilt on my sewing machine table. The background is a wool checkered pattern that has greens, blues, ans purples is dark and varying tones. There are freemotion quilting squiggles holding the quilt sandwich together on top of the background. The middle features a appliqued cutout of three kitty cata and their ball of pink yarn. The binding is done in a coordinating hot pink to tie in to the yarn and their kitty noses.
The first block from Nancy Rolefsema's Winter Blues Foundation paper peicing pattern. It's a quilt block on a brown wooden table that features a swirling design and lots of little pieces. It's all batik fabric. The outside corners of the block are white/cream small dots. Thr hexagon shape features hot pink with muted white squares swirling around a dark shadow grey and there are hexagonal smaller lines inside the large hexagon-> middle one js blue and smaller inner one is white same as corners.
4 inch quilt blocks lying in a diamond-ish design on the grey carpet (if you look closely enough you can see all the cat hair; enjoy!) All the blocks feature Moda Bella's 30's yellow along with a seemingly random vintage fabric (alas, not the case since my Perfectionism makes most of the decisions). The various vintages fabric sides and the yellow sides are alternating to create the diamond shape. Half square triangles! That's the term I was looking for!

Top left corner of the quilt on the white classroom table is flipped over to reveal the backside of the quilt which us cactus green shannon fabrics cuddle (minky). The top of the quilt is a square block pattern featuring cream, gold, pink, green, and blue batik fabrics arranged kinda tetris style. The quilting on each block are many swirls in a rainbow verigated isacord thread.
On a white worktable in our quilt store classtoom sits a bunch of half square triangle quilt blocks. One half of evrey block is Moda Solid 30's yellow. The other half of my set is all vintage fabrics. My coworker made her other half from a modern bee design charm pack. We mixed them all together and started laying out this quilt design which features a diamond four triangle in the middle with rippling squares of the solid yellow coming out of it.
Half square traingle blocks already quilted using a Tilda Solid Lavender color and the other side of the blocks are various blue tones of vintage floral fabrics. This pic has the blocks arranged on the grey carpet floor un a square border design that moves outwards.
Two dark purple marbles moda fabric rectangles side by side long side vertical stitched down in my machine embroidery hoop on top of white stabilizer. The needle and Bernina brand words are visible at the top center. The one rectangle quilt block on the left is done with embroidery and has lime green spikes done on top. The right rectangle only has basting and placement lines down and is REALLY close to the edge of the fabric on the bottom left corner (like my sanity).
Half square triangle blocks all pieced and quilted in my embroidery hoop using an embroidery module on my Bernina sewing machine. There are 12 different vintage colorways all also using Moda Bella Solid 30's yellow. The blocks are overlapping each other in a layered way from left to right. I tried my best to Roy G. Biv the vintage colors so it goes from brown, red, pink, yellow, green, blue and purple. The layered line of "rainbowed" quilt blocks is on a dark brown fake-wood table.
Another blue/teal/white beach towel background as my makeshift ironing board cover (don't judge). The focus is the half finished grid of small square quilt blocks with a variety of colored (pinks, electric yellow, purples, and darks) all with a moonlight vibe interspersed with blender white (with tiny metallic stars) also squares to make a checkerboard effect.

Quilted in the embroidery hoop 7 inch quilt blocks 3 by 4 of them on my brown kitchen table. Each block has quilted lil swirls (see my previous post for a close up) and features batik fabrics with a watercolor design--> there's cream in the center, then yellow, then pink/orange, then green, last blue. It's almost a log cabin style. I was trying to Roy G. Biv it a bit.
My boring grey carpeting is the the background of this picture of my embroidery hoop and polymesh stabilizer containing my newly machine embroidered quilt block. The block itself is made up of a half rainbow of batik fabrics going in order from the center--> cream, yellow, orangey-pink, green, and blue. All fabrics are a watercolory type design. Block has rainbow verigated thread quilted on top in wavy swirls moving right. Batting is Quilter's Dream Green (not shown).
My rough beginner attempt at Foundation Paper Piecing on my sewing table and grey cutting mat alongside various sewing implements (roller, clear yellow quarter inch ruler, rotary cutter, primary colored scrap fabric etc). Pattern is free on Fandom in Stitches website and depicts the Balrog fighting Gandalf the Grey from LoTR. Brown background and shiny orange whip black crackle Balrog w/red horns on a chared black earth and galdalf brandishing a steel sword (all in fabric of course).
A wide-eyed black & white shorthaired feline stares at you and sits atop my current WIP featuring bright appliqued flowers with circle centers on a cream-beige background of a quilt. Tell her she's pretty.
A batik quilt is being completed in my sewing room under the gold Bernina sewing machine. The quilt blocks feature Barbara Persing's vibrant fabric of appliqued flowers with a circle in the middle of each one in a different color than the flower. I've freemotion quilted around in each one and did some swirlies around the beige borders.

Ever wonder what the inside of a quilt looks like? Feast your eyes upon this quilted sammich that is currently upside down. You're looking at the stabilizer, then one layer down is the franken-batting, then we have the pieced pretty fabrics. Each block is sewn together in this picture and ylthe bright fabrics can be seen in between the white stabilizer'd blocks. They are quilted with various swirlies (technical term in our household).

Two purple quilt blocks side by side on an old blue towel background. Both blocks have hexagon outlines but the blockhead maker made one of them 90 degree turned so they are not the same at the top. How could she do this to herself? She is special at multitasking mistakes. Both blocks feature vibrant stars so maybe people wont notice if they're blinded by brilliance?

Another amazing display of machine embroidery finesse using Pickle Pie company's block of the month designs. April's block is quilted swirly, yet with square & angled blocks to contrast each other. Their classy black and white theme melts even my black heart. The center is a delightful cobalt blue. <chef's kiss>

Two ultra wrinkly purple background fabrics that were machine embroidered to look like crazy lime green eyeballs with teal and plum stars in the middle. They'll be sewn together and quilted using Sarah Vedeler's Yellow Submarine quilt pattern.
Here we see four snuggle-buggles (sleepy felines) in their natural habitat. There are quatro gatos napping blissfully in sunny bedroom. One grey & white furball is using her orange brother's butt as a pillow. I wonder what they dream of.

A baby snuggle toy made with quilted light pink and teal blue blocks with fussy cut little butterflies in the center. I used random scrap ribbons for ringing the outside so baby can feel them OH I also put crinkle inside to make a sound!
