I choose colors based on season the newborn arrives. Wanted a summer meadow look. Colors right to left: bay leaf, dandelion, indigo, poppy, orchid, sky blue. (Called Caribbean by yarn company. Changed name to fit my concept. Creative license by the knitter.)

Aran weight scarf on gentleman who turned 72 the day prior. Colors are nocturne and lei.
I enjoy playing with ribbing. Needles 1 & 3 are ribbed from canton to heel. Some knitters like the stripes match up. I enjoy mismatched stripe sequences.

The Linus shawl/scarf knitted in 2018. Love the colors seque from one to the other. I don't normally wear yellow and I like to knit with it because it is a color that expresses delight.
All wool scarves. Not unusual for me to wear three different ones in the course of a day.
Cast on 55 stitches with 11 knit, 11 purl etc. Repeat row. At beginning and end and at approximately every 100 rows four rows of dark blue. Length is 6 ' x 10 "
