The Punisher: One Last Kill, 4/5 stars I'll be honest once disney took the netflix canon I thought that was it for Frank. He might show up again and be toned down for a more general audience. I mean hell even netflix still felt like it was holding back on the punishing aspect. But this was really great it felt like it was right out of punisher max I was honestly sad when it ended I would love to see this as a movie or full on season. It had both things I like about punisher that are hard to balance the introspection of how frank is a broken and horrific person and absolute over the top brutality
So everyone is comparing this (They Will Kill You) to ready or not 2 which I get why but I will say having seen both this was better. Spoilers ahead for this movie and Ready Or Not 2 So both movies are about bad ass sister saving little sister from Satanic cult of rich dicks. The difference here really is setting, tone, and creativity. In Ready Or Not 2 we already know magic is real after the first movie but all they do with that in the sequel is people explode into goo. Which is cool and a bit funny the first time but it gets old really fast. In TWKY the trailer I saw at least didn't give away that this cult had actual powers so them being immortal was a fun reveal and shown with some fantastic practical effects. Plus having things like the eye ball following her around is a very sam raimi gag that I loved. Ready Or not 2 kinda need something like this it would have upped the steaks and made it more than Most Dangerous Game with a contract.
