It’s not even the futuristic design I find lacking today. It’s the effort. Everything is so bland. That 2005 booth built hype. The only thing we get these days is neglect. ETA: I’m going to show my age here, and it’s not totally relevant to the above, but for me, hype for video games is long gone. I still enjoy the hobby and have many games in a Backlog but I remember the midnight launch for GTA IV. I finished work at 11:30pm, the games shop was opening late, it was on the way home.
