A Spotify Car Thing going through a boot sequence with the Thing Labs logo and the words “Powered by NixOS”. Once the Car Thing boots, it shows the original Spotify UI. I find the Car Thing in my phone’s bluetooth, and connect to it. After the tutorial, it shows what is playing on my phone, but without the album art showing. I am able to skip and rewind the song, as well as pause it, emulating some of the functionality of the original Car Thing. The cool part here is that the backend is no longer made by Spotify, but rather a custom Rust app called BridgeThing, coming soon!
