My thoughts on the murder of Charlie Kirk. Danger lies not in Kirk as an individual but in the environment that made his brand of politics possible and his killing predictable. But when murder is justified as a response to speech, the cycle of violence accelerates.

John is right, and... why is the political and media reaction to Charlie Kirk's murder different to the reaction to the murders of Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, and the shootings of John Hoffman and his wife Yvette?

It's important to keep a level playing field. After Charlie Kirk justified the murders of George Floyd and countless minority individuals, I bristle at the constant admonishments not to "justify" his. I hold Charlie Kirk's memory the way he would have wanted: without empathy.

It is an inside (MAGA) hit. No new up and coming bulls inside the pen with the old bull all his lineage.
