I was walking past this building the other day and noticed the metal framed rubberised channels on the ground. It got me thinking about their purpose. was it some sort bomb screens that rapidly rise. A bridge? But this didn't make sense. Got back home and looked up the building and sure enough..

It is a hybrid bridge / building construction which I assume explains the allowance for structural movement on the street Anyone got anything to add to this? It really is mind boggling the sort of shit I notice. Yet I walked into the office, sat down & didn't notice a full F1 car in the window...
