It's hard keeping a cool head on this one. Stevens has a good track record. There might be things going on behind the scenes. But I'm just too shocked and disappointed to try and rationalize this right now.
I think they’re better. Didn’t get the better player but Brown doesn’t fit next to Tatum and this is what the analytics clearly show. Tatum will be better not having to defer to Brown. And PG is a better complimentary player. Get Trey Murphy and you’re a top team in the EC

Hard to see it as anything but an unmitigated failure. Why make the trade at all if that's the best outcome?

To be fair, while “wait and see” is often appropriate, I am struggling to think of what factors there might be in play that are not right in front of us. Even if Brown had flatly demanded a trade or he would sit out, what was the rush?
Keep hoping there’s another move. Hope it doesn’t turn out something like the Red Sox or Bruins do.
Does everyone who thought Brad was a genius yesterday think he got dumb overnight, or is it pure hubris? This is a selfish guy who just had “his favorite season”, and the whole league knew it. Brad still got an expiring max slot, a potential top pick, and 3 other picks. And he’s an anti vaxxer.
Call me crazy, I think they got better. If you sum all, they added Mitch Robinson, Mike Conley and Paul George. 2 firsts and 2 seconds. They only lost JB and whatever was left from Vuc.
