This is NOT me saying Bregman must have a deal because Brown said this, or that a grievance automatically happens just because he did, but worth noting this is probably a prohibited comment, per Attachment 49 of the CBA:

Also worth noting that saying the Astros "lost Bregman" is technically true, since they lost him to FA. Very easy to just interpret that as a poor choice of words

Ehhhh. He was under contract last year, he is not for next year. At the moment, he *is* lost. I think this is just regular GM speak.
