A pyramid of 50 7-Up cans from 1976. One collectible can for each US state. On the back of each can is a fragment of an image. When ordered correctly as here, the entire image is revealed to be Uncle Sam. This was done for the bicentennial in 1976.

Astonishing example of the bookbinder's art: a copy of Moby Dick bound in white leather with gold embossed lettering. The whale's eye is an actual glass eye bulging from the cover and held in place by a slit patch of leather. It stares at the reader relentlessly. The cover around the eye is creased to give the suggestion of the whale's head. Unnerving. And delightful.
