The other MKE stores' fates: • Big Store (downtown): Kohl's and loft apartments • Bayshore: Target • Brookfield Square: demolished, vacant lot • Northridge: abandoned for decades; demolished, vacant lot • Mayfair: former Gimbel's, currently being renovated for Scheels

Despite reasonably stable occupancy: the fate of Southridge Mall, itself, is still being debated by the village and master planners. The scenarios floated range between retaining the mall as-is, to a nuclear option of razing everything before it has the chance to mirror its late-sister to the north.
