a side-by-side map of toronto. i have drawn a bounding box from roughly roncesvalles in the west to the don river in the east and dupont to the north to the water in the south. the next side shows a heatmap of who all drew downtown boundaries where. it radiates red from the center of toronto and gets lighter at the edges. most people seem to act as if the area around bay street and university as downtown. the implication of this post is that my boundaries are quite large in comparison to other torontonians, who see a little sliver of the city as downtown as my western boundaries are only shared by roughly 10% of people who have filled out this map.
