It is the way of looking at things which determines what we see, and if we see what’s really there. I try to frame what is patiently revealed by looking at it with a blank kind of curiosity. Some moody photographs taken in Casais, Portugal.

A weird combination of natural and artificial light the other day. The damp, foggy air, blue hour, the orange streetlight and a vehicle driving towards the canal. The fog breaking the clean light of the car towards the canal, bringing up its greenblue color. #photography #jvd #nothingness #visualart
Local scene at dusk. Notice the bird (pretty sure it was a crow) flying over which had me waiting for over half an hour to finish the picture off. It sat in the tree left of the houseboat and I was pretty sure it would fly over eventually.
