A post from Isaac Hannaford on Linkedin saying the following: this was the first time the Halo: Reach spartan armor was represented. I was fascinated by the idea that the x shape of the Halo: combat evolved armor was done on purpose as an icon...maybe related to it being on x-box. Anyway I decided that the X was too good to let die on the vine and pulled it back into the language. I was also hooked on a line somebody used to describe the spartans... "Walking Battle Tanks" I really wanted to convey that these suits were heavy and less like clothes and more like a vehicle. It shows 3 armor design from Halo Reach for the Spartan in gray, 2 front and 1 from the back, one is a make-shaped armor while the second appears to be female shaped, which all look like walking tanks. They have a visual design shaping their chest as a "X" and their helmets feature a golden visor.
