then got distracted by a garage sale raising funds for a family of refugees, spent $20 on goodies (including a painting of Cascade from a viewpoint I know all too well) and got some coffee and fresh-baked bread for stopping by then cleaned up the garden plot and got some ice cream

I still have a lot of frustration with the extreme wealth gaps in Victoria and high cost of living, but there really are some cool people here and I love living somewhere urban where I nonetheless occasionally see the neighbour's escaped roosters 🐔
