I drive around making deliveries of stuff to people around the country. I have a lot of time to let my mind wander. That's rarely a good thing.

Spiky stick nest has a spiky feathered green heron on it.
Trio of broad-winged damselflies with metallic blue-green bodies and black wings. They're all perched on small sticks hovering over the clear running water of a gravel bottomed creek.
Two large cranes with bronze plumage on their backs, gray on their necks, and red caps on their heads. They also have really cool orange eyes. These two were hanging out by a split rail fence next to a nature center.
Forest of dead snags in a pond is populated with a pelican, a cormorant, and dozens of white egrets.
Gangly duck with long neck and chestnut-and-black body with electric pink legs and bill. It's in an algae covered pond and has algae on its bill.
"Stocky, brightly-colored vireo with yellow throat and spectacles. Olive upperparts and gray wings with two bold white wingbars." --Merlin This one is halfway hidden behind a branch with small green leaves in the background.
Woodpecker with gorgeous crimson head, bright white breast and patch over rear end, and black shoulders and wing edges. It's standing atop a utility pole and there's a thick cable running behind it.
Sparrowlike bird with striking yellow breast, black patch on throat, rufous shoulders, white and yellow stripe across the eye, and a thin white outline around the tail feathers. It's perched on a string of barbed wire and looking off to the left.
Fledgling and adult Eastern bluebird completing a grasshopper handoff atop a wrought iron fence. The adult looks on as junior grabs the big grasshopper by the head.
Broken off stump of a big snag branch has a woodpecker perched on the very tippy top. The bird has a bright red head, black shoulders and wing edges, and a broad bright white stripe across its lower back.
Great blue heron rests its head on the curve of its retracted neck and looks thoughtfully off into the distance.

Two osprey parents and their youngster are hanging out on their regular nesting spot.
