Hyle's always been attached to the idea of Klubba having struck out on his own to lead a splinter group of pirate Kremlings offscreen, but in light of all the new theories about him, has it instead been K. Lumsy boasting an unseen loyalist faction all this time? Or, like the Kremling ruins on Donkey Kong Island, do the chests dovetail with the ancient Kremling remains to indicate that the Kremling empire once spanned the Underground, and only comparatively recently has contracted to a few territories like Crocodile Isle and the Northern Kremisphere as their reckless self-destruction under leaders like K. Rool continually unravels all the successes their martial streak initially won them? (In which case, again – why the horns?) Courtney: At this point I like thinking of the bull-chest red herring as just one of the game's unknowns, like the Ancient Neptunite Civilization. One of those things that isn't really explained but makes you wonder. Was there a bull civilization too at some point, SO far lost that this is all we have of them? I hadn't thought about the K.
