A selection of Mr D's limbs holding up a box that contains a 2000 piece jigsaw. Coast, cliffs, castle, sea, sky. Probably a piece of piss, unless the puzzle turns out to be made of superthin card. Then you'll hear complaints.

Three hands on the bottom left corner show their hands replying to the salute in kind. NB The story itself is about kids messing around with friends and enemies, and forming a boys' colony in an aunt's garden, where they, the Greenshirts, gorge themselves on providently supplied cream buns. I don't believe this will be obvious to anyone who only sees the mug. You can't even see the mitigating factor of the name. I may possibly be overthinking a tad.

A white door against original painted walls inside a small church in Gloucestershire. To the right is a deeply recessed small arched stained-glass window. The plaster in the recess has a terracotta and cream chequered pattern. In the shot there are three and a half human, presumably religious, figures. The half is vertical rather than horizontal. My powers of description are only exceeded by my skill in photography.

Hay-on-Wye, from up high. Gratuitous rhyme; apologies. View over the town from the recently restored Hay Castle. The Wye was definitely in my line of vision, and it may even have been captured in the photograph.
