A large curio shelf, piled high with … stuff. Costume jewelry, junk mail, candles, receipts, readers, tchotchkes. I don’t know why this shelf is a priority for me - likely because I see it every day.
Over three dozen bottles of pancake syrup, all between 5 - 20 years old, in a pantry I’m cleaning out at my late father’s house.
From TXDoT: US 75 LANES, FRONTAGE ROADS CLOSE NEAR ROYAL LANE IN DALLAS STARTING SEPTEMBER 9 Weather permitting, drivers are urged to avoid traveling on US 75 near Royal Lane from the evening of Saturday, September 9 through the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 10 as part of an ongoing project in the corridor. Scheduled closures include: • Various lane closures on north and southbound US 75, with all lanes detoured to the frontage roads at times between Royal Ave. and Forest Lane from 7 p.m. Saturday, September 9 until 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10. • There will also be various ramp closures at the junction of US 75 and Royal Lane during this time. Significant delays can be expected on the highway and nearby streets during this time. Vehicle and pedestrian traffic should avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
