Our arthropod relatives are having a hard time of it, and that means we’re about to have a hard time too. Spare some solidarity for the many-legged comrades with which we share the world. This is a 4-color screenprint made from 4 hand-cut rubylith stencils- the top layer is a very subtle varnish of the words “No Insects, No Future”.
This print is a throwback to the work I was doing in Chicago in the late 90s/early 2000s, and then in Troy, NY in 2005/06. The image is based on street stencil used in both locations, I've always liked the uneasiness of natural imagery painted on the landscape with something as industrial as spraypaint...
This image was created when I was transplanting seedlings that I had started as seeds, into the garden. The act of placing small, strong plant babies into the earth is one of the best feelings. We scoop out a small hole in the earth, and place the baby into the earth. We pat the ground around it, and water it in, to allow it to quench it's thirst under the brilliant sun. Working with plants connects us to each other, and to all living things, giving us strength to grow together.
Autonomy print
Made after the killing of Nicole Good and Alex Pretti, during community defense protests that reacted to ICE/Border Patrol occupation of Minneapolis, MN in January 2026. Inspired by Bob Dylan's anti-nuclear song, A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall, written in 1962 and released on the album Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. The last refrain is what rang in my mind, shortly after these murders by these faceless soldiers of cruelty: I'll walk to the depths of the deepest black forest Where the people are many and their hands are all empty Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters Where the home in the valley meets the damp dirty prison Where the executioner's face is always well-hidden Where hunger is ugly, where souls are forgotten Where black is the color, where none is the number And I'll tell it and think it and speak it and breathe it And reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it Then I'll stand on the ocean until I start sinkin' But I'll know my song well before I start singin' And it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard It's a hard rain's a-gonna fall
This screenprint is a new edition of my 2018 print for our Community Supported Art (CSA), which was inspired by working with ARYSE, programming that supports immigrant and refugee students in Pittsburgh. ARYSE programs are planned around four major themes that build on students' natural resiliency and talent including: English language learning, academic preparedness, storytelling through creative expression, and team building through sports. I created this original print after screenprinting with ARYSE's girls art and maker group. A part of previous editions were gifts to donors for ARYSE's fundraising campaign. I made a new edition this Summer in a new colorway while printing with teens, and wanted to share some on Justseeds. Each edition features a different gradient of ink on one of the layers, called a split fountain, or what I like to call a "sweet fade." No two prints are exactly alike.

Decolonize is a graphic developed for a presentation on Decolonizing art education as part of College Art Association Conference. As educators and people within institutions, we tend to follow bureaucratic systems that create hierarchies that impede real social change and center antiquated systems that disrupt collective decision making, power sharing, and ignore indigenous knowledge that center caring and balance with the natural world and each other. This simple graphic is a reminder of continuously questioning our thinking and the ways we move in systems, working toward decolonizing how we teach, how we work, how we live, and the systemic structures we are part of.

Used in Ethnic Studies programs and recited in classrooms and peace circles, it serves as a reminder that we are interconnected and that the freedom and joy of others are intrinsically linked to our own.
This poster is build on the template of the 1987 Silence = Death poster created by the Silence = Death Collective as a provocation to begin organizing around the emerging AIDS crisis in New York City and beyond. The image (originally repurposing and detourning the pink triangle used by the Nazis to mark gay men in the concentration camps) struct a chord, and was picked up by ACT-UP and spread throughout the world. Although a crisis of a different nature, the rise of uncontrolled tech is destroying our psyches, our communities, our economy, and our planet.
Just seeds anti-war images graphic
John Carlos and Tommie Smith won gold and bronze medals respectively in the 200-meter running event at the Summer Olympics in Mexico City in 1968. On the podium they turned to face the US flag and then raised their fist in the black power salute until the anthem had finished. The athletes were protesting racial discrimination in the United States and expressing solidarity with the Civil Rights Movement. For their actions they were shunned by the U.S. sporting establishment. It was not until years later that they were recognized for their courage to speak out. In 2008 Smith and Carlos received an Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the 2008 ESPY Awards. In 2005, San Jose State University honored former students Smith and Carlos with a statue of their protest titled Victory Salute, created by Rigo 23.
Two meerkats hold each other, healing each other. One heals the other's heart, one heals the other's head. This is a simple print, about staying healthy, loving, fighting, helping, healing. The original was printed over a decade ago as a two color linoleum block print. This edition is a screen-printed version (the original was block printed) which was printed by Headlight in New York.
This graphic is part of a series created to remind our neighbors, chosen or biological family, friends, colleagues, coconspirators, and loved ones that we are choosing them everyday. This graphic is a reminder of what we are practicing, working toward, and figuring out together. We Imagine & Build a Better world Together is about practicing the worlds we need for ourselves and each other, today. We practice through the imperfections and figure it out together through a lens that centers love, equity, and collective power sharing through regenerative systems that care for people, the land, and the living things that make our existence possible.
It feels insane that this poster needed to be made, but here we are. The US needs to keep its grubby little hands off Greenland! The design is loosely based on Greenland's flag (a split circle on a split field of red and white). "Kalaallit Nunaat Qimakkit" roughly translates into "Leave Greenland" in Kalaallisut, the official language of Greenland (many dialects are spoken there).

I was inspired by a beautiful photo taken of a person doing a wheelie in front of burning cop cars during the LA uprisings against ICE in 2025. It is titled “We’re stronger than their lies” because we are! We find ways to resist and moments of joy amidst the chaos and repression and we overcome their lies by connecting to one another and working together to defend our communities and defeat fascism.

Monica and I originally created a version of this poster back in 2014, in the wake of the Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan. It was intended as a solidarity poster and tool for antinuclear organizing in the US, but we couldn't find an organization that wanted to use the poster, unfortunately. It did end up as a centerfold in an issue of In These Times magazine about 8 years ago. This is an updated and slightly redesigned version for riso. The consideration of language access is the consideration of a portal of understanding. Language justice means ensuring that more than one party receives the same news, the same joy or the same opportunity to grieve, at the same time - and with the same understanding of their present moment. This piece was originally created to raise funds for Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project's language access hotline in 2024, centering the reproductive care of those whose primary language is not English.
It's time to reclaim the guillotine. Let's haul it forth from history and see what flowers bloom in the floodwaters.
This print was originally created for Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project's 20th year anniversary in 2023, titled after Donna Summer's "Love to Love You Baby". 70% of the proceeds from this print go to Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project, seeking to further reproductive justice by providing practical and financial support for abortion services in Virginia and surrounding communities.
My seventh Amor y Lucha / Love & Struggle zine brings together poems from the last nine years of the fascist slide, written between 2016 and 2025. These are angry poems, fearful poems, and maybe, just a little, hopeful poems. The drawings are from my sketchbooks of 2022-25. The cover image was originally commissioned for a curriculum on the prison industrial complex, inspired by Ruthie Gilmore’s description of the PIC as a “beast,” reaching out from the towers of investors and politicians through landscapes of prisons and detention camps to the surveillance and apprehension of the border. 32 pages, saddle stitch stapled.
"I originally began creating a series of prints about the Communist Manifesto back in 2013, as part of the Justseeds' exhibition Uprisings! Images of Labor" in Milwaukee in 2013. The idea behind the exhibition was to create representations of contemporary labor, but I find it increasingly difficult to clearly articulate what labor looks like in the United States in 21st Century. With cell phones, tablets, wifi, work from home, and now AI—with more jobs more precarious than ever—there is an expectation that everyone can and will be willing to work all the time. For more and more people there is no longer clear geographical distinctions between the work place and anywhere else, and less and less temporal distinctions as well."
