And FWIW no one in my life has breastfed (mom, cousins, etc). so i simply have no reference point or person to ask. I want to breastfeed! I think it will be so special for my baby and i. But do your nipples just create holes and open up? This seems so strange to me. My nipples are closed and i don't see where/how milk could come out. I googled this obviously and it says the holes just open up and the pictures look crazy. but im curious what that experience is like? Does it hurt and are they like open holes or it's more gradual? When in the pregnancy does this happen? I have been observing my nipples as I get further along and they just don't seem very different (maybe a little harder and pointier?) and I can't seem to wrap my head around how milk will come out of them. I also have smaller boobs does this impact my supply / ability to breastfeed? Ok sorry again if this is so dumb i'm just looking some insight from more experienced moms!
