A horizontal picture of yesterday's sunset. The sky is as soft and purple pink in the fading light as an aurora, hugging the horizon and bathing the fields as they curve and swoop gently to the fjord, not visible in the pic but very much there, just on the other side of the treeline. As for the fields, even the rich chocolate of the recently planted field to the left and the fluffy bright green of the new grass in front are fading to pink in the kiss of evening light. Tying the image together, and just right of centre frame, is the bright whisker of a rainbow as it curves up into sky.
an image of the shallows of the local fjord, almost exactly centre of the previous pic. the water is so clear here it feels like looking through air, only the smallest hint of bubbles giving away the liquid composition. rocks and shells are strewn haphazardly across the image, in the way a small child might decorate an iced cookie or cake with sprinkles and sugar pearls. in the very centre frame lays one small starfish, approx. 3cm across, only the second such friend i've ever met in this water. eir body is pink with hints of purple where the texture is moist pronounced, several of eir arms ending in white like the tip of a pencil or a cat's white socks. eir left arm is bent up as if in a welcoming hello, inviting the viewer to take a step closer and come splashing in
a vertical pic of several large mushrooms, just the caps, all snuggled on top of each other and into the mossy feet of an usually large needle tree that was more droopy shag than anything else. the mushrooms are a gorgeous chestnut brown, thin and woody, wrinkling upwards at the edges in the way that very thin pancakes or very thick crepes do, lovingly decorated with pine cones, the greens and browns of pine needles and bright pools of early spring light.

One of my favourite winter scenes: strong sunshine, frozen fjord ice, thick sheets of thin ice wafers tousled haphazardly into each other on the beach. As intricately textured and delicate as lace, these thin wafers pile on top of each other and then slide all around with the most delectable cronch. Here we see an ice smooth blanket of fjord across the top of the image, and a small mountain of textured ice wafers across the bottom half of the image. Where ice meets ice, several wafers can be seen sunning themselves like sea lions or perhaps volunteering themselves as delicate hockey pucks. Winter at its finest, bonus points for the sighing ice as it was gently rocked by hints of waves. 14/10 would linger again
