Important update about your POS Go We want to give you a heads-up about a change coming to your Shopify POS Go, with plenty of time to plan for it. As we invest in the next generation of mobile selling hardware, we're retiring the POS Go as a handheld device to focus our support on more powerful options built for the future of retail. What's changing? On May 26, 2027, the POS Go will no longer function as a mobile point of sale device. After that date, it will automatically switch into countertop mode. It will still work as a customer-facing payment terminal with a brandable checkout flow, when paired with a tablet, but your staff won't be able to carry it around the floor. This does not impact the Shopify POS Terminal, which we will continue to support moving forward. If mobile selling is part of how you run your store, you'll want a plan before that date. You have two great options: Verifone Victa Mobile is Shopify's new purpose-built handheld for mobile selling, offered in partnership with Verifone, a global leader in point of sale hardware. It runs Shopify POS, accepts tap, chip, swipe, and digital wallets, and has a built-in barcode scanner. It can also be docked and used as a countertop payment terminal when paired with a tablet. New Collection: I've been searching for a while for a way to bring these ideas to life in a way that was both aesthetic and authentic to Tiny Werewolves - but also meaningful in the message. I've played with some of these retro characters before in past subscription boxes, but the inspiration came from the song in the old movie intermission advert "Let's all go to the lobby" where it features anthropomorphic snacks dancing and singing their way to the lobby during intermission. While I was talking to Kayla Pekkala of the "small-batch" Chicago-based stationery company Tiny Werewolves — "retro-inspired art infused with socio-political commentary" — she noted even the Bic pen I was holding was stationery. She wasn't as judgy as that sounds.
