Four different detectors in my house have had false alarms now. All Kidde-brand. Apparently this is common with Kidde. @bradfitz.com I am feeling your pain (a decade later).

For some ridiculous reason (code, presumably) my house has like 15 smoke detectors and now I have to replace them all. And of course, the mounts aren't standardized. Ugh. Any recommendations? I'd like to try a "smart" device but not a cloud service... should integrate with Home Assistant.
