Landscape photographer, writer, National Park lover, eater of a truly gratuitous amount of pizza. Based outside of Boston, MA. All photos taken with a real-life camera, probably while sleep-deprived, and definitely with a sore back and knees.

The core of the Milky Way above Franconia Ridge in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. A dimly lit path leads from the bottom of the image along a mountain ridge to a peak in the mid ground. Yellow-orange clouds just over the peak reflect light pollution from nearby towns below. Above the clouds the Milky Way and its gas and dust clouds are visible centered over the mountain.

The mountain, Lassen Peak, is dimly lit by star light in he lower middle portion of the image and a forest of conifer trees occupy the bottom of the image in the foreground. Within the Milky Way, several pink nebulae are visible on the left side of the image, including the Eagle Nebula, Omega Nebula, Trifid Nebula, and Lagoon Nebula.
