The three very small figures in front are inspired by (from left to right) a common redstart, a European robin, and a Eurasian bullfinch. They are all painted with bright, saturated colors.
A male blackbird screams at the camera. Its head is slightly tilted to our left, and its beak is wide open as it loudly announces its displeasure at the intrusion into its territory. The blackbird is entirely black, with the exception of its yellow beak and skin surrounding its eyes.
