Rest well little one, you served me well! (Replaced it with a Rpi5)

mine started out as a docker container on my old pc. But now it's running on a home assistant green www.home-assistant.io/green/

I say rest well, Iโll prob find something to run on it at some point! ๐คฃ But yeah the Pi5 flies in comparison!!!!
I still have one and it works great as a retro gaming system. It is also what I use as a backup PC when troubleshooting my desktop LINUX disasters.
Iโm sure youโve probably tried, but just in case.. Is it possible the SD card was failing? I have seen some unpredictable behavior and weird failure modes from unreliable storage on Pis before. Either way, an excuse for an upgrade is always appreciated in the homelab!
I've had a Pi3 running constantly as a PiHole for several years. The robustness of the Pi hardware, SD card and OS is amazingly good. I've got a Pi4 lined up to replace it, using an old SSD and SATA caddy to boot from, but I feel a fan is going to be a weak point.
