Most mortals find it impossible to resist my natural charm,” she muttered, more to herself than to Rowan. “Yet you’re putting up an impressive amount of resistance - talking back, as if I was a mere human like yourself.” She paused, stroking her chin thoughtfully, tails swaying idly behind her. “Unless…” “Unless?” “Unless that’s not what you actually are.” Her nose twitched. “Hmm, yes… there’s a hint of aether, unmistakably. I assumed it was just ambient presence, but perhaps not. And something else… hard to tell what it is…”
