I *do* remember Num-Num (and his cousin, Copycat) very fondly, from my Playhour and Robin comic. My Dad used to read it to me every week, along with Bunny Cuddles (He Loves His Jam) Don't remember them all being on the telly tho'.
I was frightened to death by this when I was 4. (But Google knows about it so I suppose someone else remembers it too)
