Hey y'all. Quick note on comms pricing. I believe the prices on most of my lower tiers are currently in a good spot, and don't need to significantly change (if they do, it should be by $5-$10 at most). However, it's clear that the prices for my highest offerings are currently untenable. When creating a lineless illustration, the blocks of color need to fill in for some of the function of the lines, creating separation between things like overlapping limbs and individual digits. However, it's become too natural for me to carry on from this point and wind up effectively shading the whole thing. This isn't really fair to y'all, since it causes heavy delays and can create inconsistent levels of rendering at the same price point. And it also isn't great for me to be overloading myself and accidentally undercutting my peers. So, from now on, a one-character fully colored and shaded illustration will be at least $150 USD, up from $100. This may change as I move numbers around, but that's what I'm looking at as a baseline. To those of you whom I owe outstanding work - if it was billed as "flat color" or "full color", I'll be trying to reach out to everybody in the coming days to clarify whether you wanted a flat color or shaded illustration. If you were just looking for flat colors, great! If you do want shading, we can figure out pricing relative to the quality you're looking for, likely at around an additional $50 per character.
