It didn’t start with gas chambers. It started with one party controlling the media. It started with one party controlling the message. One party deciding what is true. One party censoring speech and silencing opposition. One party banning books. One party rewriting history so that all significant achievements were brought about by people who looked like them. One party dividing citizens into “us” and “them” and calling on their supporters to harass the “thems.” It started when good people, who turned a blind eye, let it happen.
