december 16th, 2024: The 20th Century Fox fanfare was composed by Alfred Newman in 1933 for the studio 20th Century Pictures, Inc., two years prior to its merger with the Fox Film Corporation. The fanfare was extended by Newman in 1955 to accompany 20th Century-Fox's then new CinemaScope movies.
