"Hi Scholastic. I want you to know that I will no longer be putting money into a wallet for my kid's Scholastic Book Fair as long as titles like LEGO Minecraft The End Adventure are available. Obviously my kid will gravitate towards a toy and a book with no educational value, that inspires no curiosity. I assumed that when I put money into my kid's wallet for Scholastic Book Fair that it would be used on books, not toys, and garbage half considered "activities" meant only to make the toy in question somewhat palatable. I have no issue with a book about Lego - perhaps one with inspirational builds one can make - or one about Minecraft. But the craven combination of these brands to sell a shitty toy for at least twice its value to children who have no conception of money... you've lost a customer. My kid is in Kindergarten. That's a lot of years she won't be participating in."
