“6 PM - most sundays we go over to Geneva and bens” Geneva opens the door and says “HELLO~” in reference to a very specific sound byte. “We play some Mario maker 2 with their kids” Mario, Toad and Toadette running behind Luigi. Luigi says “I’m JUMPING!” And the rest say “wait for us!”
“3-4 PM” I say “how is my iPad already at 15% battery?? You know what that means…” while i hold a dead iPad. “Time for ~~Leisure…~~” I am playing video games, slapping my fight stick hard and fast
“2 PM” Miranda says “I don’t wanna do hourlies today!”, and respond “That is your right!” She spreads her arms to reveal a big shirt she’s wearing “I *DO* wanna wear a big shirt!” She says. I respond “This is your right!”
“1 PM - MORE CHORES” a split panel of me sweeping the crud off of the balcony, and me scribbling a big pan in the dishes “Shower time” I am sitting smiling under the water of the shower with steam rising up around me
“11 AM Chores Chores Chores” I cartoon of me vacuuming and listening to the Giant Bombcast saying “hehe” “Emptying the Vaccuum into the trash.” “Wow! That’s a lot of hair!” I say as I slap the vaccuum’s container, emptying it into the trash.
“10 AM - Miranda’s up! Yay!” She kisses me on the forehead because she is my wife. I am sitting on the couch with my iPad, catching up on drawing. Miranda says “I don’t think I wanna do anything today!” I reply “Me neither!” With my head craned over the back of the couch. “Buckle up, readers!”
“9 AM - studying French bc we’re going to France in two months! Learning useful things to say” A drawing of me holding up a phone with a cartoon owl on the screen. “7 AM - Wake up + look at my phone for like 30 mins.” There is a scribbly drawing of me in bed next to Miranda who is still asleep, my face lit up by the light of my phone. What’s on there? Probably only good things. “Make breakfast and keep look a phone (crazy face emoji with the tongue sticking out)” I’m sitting at the kitchen table next to a bowl of oatmeal and a cup of coffee with my phone flat on the table, scrolling with one finger. I’m saying “Hmmm…Yes…I see..” - probably only good things on that phone!

10-11pm Finished the movie [miranda drawing on her iPad, me staring blankly “what a film”] Good night! Until next year maybe [both of us in bed with the lights out
6pm - Miranda made me miso soup!!! [she is standing in the kitchen stirring a pot and giving a thumbs up] I am HEALED! [me holding a bowl of soup saying “a” like the peanut butter baby]
5pm - Framed a couple prints we got in December at Supernova *Nova Community Arts rules!! [pic of me hanging a photo on the wall] Thinking “hourly comic day is about proving to your peers that you’re an adult who doesn’t play street fighter for 4-6 hours every Saturday” [reverse view closer to my face, still hanging a picture]
4pm - 4:20 on a Saturday - you know what that means! Time to admire the beautiful sunset while i clean off the balcony. I also smoked weed but that’s not a funny subversion. [picture of me, tears in my eyes looking out of a sliding glass door Sometimes I miss the Midwest but not when it’s 65 degrees F in February. 7am - wake up and immediately make a NYT Connections-style puzzle to play at work. I’m in bed with Miranda asleep next to me thinking “Hmm I’ll come back and make this better later” Miranda wakes up! She says “Let’s go on a hike today!” I am blowing my nose “HONK” (kinda sick for about a week) IDK if I’m up for a hike
