And I mean, if you can't trust Google to keep running a search engine API, can you actually trust any third party API to keep functioning over a long term ever?

Hosting a search engine is the second fastest way to get your IP blacklisted (second to running your own email service) The problem is that the data changes so rapidly that you need to scrape the entire web daily just to have a usable search engine
