I found out from the Real News (a tv was on at work) and everyone just seemed so bored. They'd dragged the anti-terrorism guy on camera and he was explaining how they have no idea what this guy wanted or why he showed up with a gun. They asked him if it had anything to do with the war in Iran, and his answer basically boiled down to "probably not, but I don't know". The shooter had apparently made an attempt before [LINK:https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/white-house-gun-shots-north-lawn/] and the secret service was just sort of. Ignoring him and hoping he went away I guess?
