The third planet from Sol

is a drab ball with bits of sparkle;

metal structures circle it like flies.

Colored plastics litter the earth

and float in the waters like fish,

lively, dancing with the currents.

The waters sparkle with iridescence.

Our crew caused one to burst in flames

floating like a hellish fleet of ships.

The animals we knew are bones

and the plants are dusty memories,

this bare orb their headstone.

Earth is in its Oil Age.

Everything is dead, 'cept that with feeds on oil.

It's a feast for them, the waste we spew.
