Hey everyone, Rather than speak through a mascot like we usually do, we want to say something as the regular, diverse group of people behind Last Caw. Things look rough ahead for a lot of us. Now more than ever it's so important to not lose sight of what you have close to you, the small victories we've won, and the resources that we still control. We provide for us, just as we always have, and that's not about to change. Last Caw, our community, and the network we have today are all the product of direct action in various forms from a group of everyday people who found themselves in this same reality years ago. We made it through by coming together and sharing what we had. We survived and thrived on that, and we're still here today doing the same in spite of it all. The truth is, all we did was dare to show up for each other. We did this with nothing; a bunch of poor, scared, disadvantaged strangers, forming a support network through small shared acts of mutual kindness. Community is wherever you make it, and it's what gets us through when we have little else. It's how we carry on in times like this. At the end of the day, we protect us, we provide for us, and most importantly, so long as even one of us dares to show up, community will be there to keep us going. We'll survive this just like we have before. The world may change, but we are survivors and we're still here to prove it. Just keep showing up.
