To say I'm disappointed by their collaboration with Mango 3D / Lychee Slicer, a company that recently decided to include generative AI in their products lineup, is an understatement. :/ Had they included generative AI as separate instance, it would have been fair game. Instead, they led us artists along for years. Partnered artists, like myself up until last week, were even told to upload Halloween models to their library - they would get special priority." TAP Mod "Heresy For Heretics" states: "Im not a TAP employee but a Factory team member, none of us knew that was coming and i know that a few things were backed up pretty damn quick when it was sprung on everyone" Lavender continues: "Now they are advertising generative AI halloween models. It's very dodgy, and we're at a loss at how to combat this corruption of our art and industry. If any of the Army Painter staff would like more information, I have plenty to share." Adam, official TheArmyPainter staff informs: "We are no longer working with Lychee in support of their painting competition due to their inappropriate use of AI generated art that is derivative and steals from other art and people. We have postponed all collaborations until further notice. We had no idea this was in their plans. Our only relationship was as a sponsor to their painting competition which is now cancelled."
