This shot was either over or underexposed, which combined with the color-shifted film stock led to a murky greenish-yellowish-brownish blurring of the scene. It reminded me of aged photos with washed-out tints, and how we filter our memories thru the aesthetics of nostalgic media, shaping the subconscious creation of vague imagery in our dreams.
