Ideas for Celebrating Volunteers • Write a thank you card or postcard to each volunteer from the PCC thanking them for the work they do • Hold a gathering around food - could be tea and cake, a BBQ or a picnic. Invite your volunteers along and spend some social time together • During prayer time or during the event, thank God for their vocation and their call to ministry with children, young people and their families
Lord Jesus, Thank you for all those who serve children and young people in your Church. Thank you for the many acts of loving service and hours spent tirelessly serving in small and unseen ways to nurture faith in the emerging generations. Bless the work of our children and youth ministers. Strengthen their hands so that through their work young people may be invited into abundant life with you. We pray also for our whole church community; Make us willing to be communities that abundantly welcome children and young people. Like St Benedict who spoke of listening to the youngest person in the room, help us to listen carefully to the voice of the young person. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who brings life in all its fullness, Amen.

Today we are doing significant work at Church House to improve to the security of our IT systems. Because of this, Church House is not open. Staff are working as usual and are contactable via email or their usual phone numbers, and there is no impact on access to online systems!

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a bishop for this diocese, that we may receive a faithful pastor, to care for your people and equip us for our ministries; in the name of your Son Jesus, Amen.

As representatives of religious and faith communities in Bradford and District, we are deeply concerned about the ongoing military conflict in the Middle East and the impact it is having on countries and communities across the region. At this time, we are especially mindful of those who have loved ones affected by this conflict. As people of faith, we are committed to ensuring that these events do not become a source of division within our own communities or be used to set us against one another. We call on people of faith, across our city and district, to stand together in prayer and solidarity during this challenging time.
